How to send Nuggets on Instagram

Instagram is ideal for spreading the word to your own followers — the more people who see and share Nuggets, the louder the collective voice becomes. Think of it as your megaphone to your personal community.

 

Set up an account on Instagram, if you don't already have one

 

1.  Download the Instagram app on your smartphone or visit instagram.com on a browser and select "Sign up." Use your name and email address to create an account and choose a username.

 

Follow Climate Nuggets on Instagram

 

1.  Search for @climatenuggets or "Climate Nuggets" and tap Follow. Tap the bell icon on our profile to get notified when we post a new Nugget.

 

Find your representatives on Instagram

 

1.  Use the tool below — enter your ZIP code to find your two Senators and House Representative, along with their Instagram handles and a suggested message to copy.

 

2.  Tap the link to go directly to each representative's Instagram profile.

 

3.  Tap "Copy Message" to copy the suggested caption to your clipboard.

 

Post a Nugget and tag your rep

 

1.  Go to our Climate Nuggets Instagram page and tap the paper airplane icon (Share) below a Nugget that speaks to you.

 

2.  Select "Add to Story" to share it to your Instagram Story — visible to all your followers for 24 hours. Or select "Repost" to add it permanently to your feed.

 

3.  Paste the message you copied and add your own personal thoughts. Your own words make people far more likely to stop and pay attention.

 

4  Add hashtags to expand your reach: #ClimateNuggets #ActOnClimate #ClimateAction
