How to send Nuggets on X (Twitter)
X is our most powerful tool for direct constituent pressure — when you post a Nugget and tag your representative, it lands in their public feed where their staff, other constituents, and the press can all see it. That's real pressure. We've made it as easy as possible with our Send a Nugget tool.
1. Set up an account on X (if you don't have one yet)
Download the X app on your smartphone, or visit x.com on a browser and select "Create account." Use your name, email or phone number, and date of birth to sign up. Verify your account with the code sent to you, create a secure password, and choose a username to complete setup.
2. Follow Climate Nuggets on X
Search for @ClimateNuggets on X to find our account. Click Follow — and click the bell icon to get notifications whenever we post a new Nugget. This is where you'll find all our Nuggets ready to share.
3. Pick a Nugget and send it
Two ways to find a Nugget — both flow through our send tool, which finds your reps, drafts your message, and opens X ready to post. All you do is paste and post.
Option 1 — From our website: Browse all Nuggets by topic, keyword, or tag. Click "Send to your rep" on any one and you're straight into the send flow.
Option 2 — From X: Browse our posts on @ClimateNuggets. Every post has a built-in link — click it and it takes you straight into our send tool with that Nugget pre-loaded. This also drives engagement on our X account.
4. Pro Tip: Comment on Your Rep's Own Posts
Follow your Members of Congress on X. When they post anything about climate, weather, energy, or extreme weather, click on the post itself. This opens the comment thread and you can post a reply with a relevant Nugget and your thoughts. Your message reaches not just your MoC but every constituent reading that thread — far more visibility than a standalone post.
